Education Equity and Justice Series

The Education, Equity, and Justice Book Series is grounded in the urgent need to reimagine education systems through a justice-centered lens. At a time when systemic inequalities are increasingly visible, this series provides a platform for critical scholarship that addresses enduring disparities in race, disability, gender, language, class, and other intersecting identities. It aims to resist deficit-based narratives and uplift historically silenced voices.

The series aims to:

  • Showcase transformative, justice-oriented research and practice across educational contexts.
  • Amplify the lived experiences of marginalized communities through interdisciplinary approaches.
  • Provide actionable frameworks, models, and strategies for dismantling oppression in schools and universities.
  • Bridge research, policy, and practice to influence more equitable educational systems globally.

Spanning early childhood to higher education and community-based learning environments, the series engages with topics such as inclusive pedagogy, critical disability studies, racial equity, abolitionist teaching, culturally sustaining practices, and educational leadership for justice. Contributions may include empirical research, theoretical explorations, practitioner reflections, and edited volumes.

Each volume centers educational justice, offering cutting-edge contributions from scholars, practitioners, and activists. The series welcomes work that is innovative, accessible, and praxis-driven, fostering dialogue across disciplines and stakeholders. With a commitment to intersectionality and transformation, the series seeks to reshape what is possible in the future of education.
