Contemporary Perspectives on Leadership development is designed to highlight current best practices in leader and leadership development initiatives and provide suggestions for future research and scholarship focused on those initiatives. The bulk of historical and current research in leadership centers either the concept itself (better understanding what it means to lead) or its impact on teams, organizations, and society. This series, instead, focuses on the processes that drive the development of the capacity to lead.
The scope of the series spans sectors of education and youth development, organizational leadership, and community development. How can educational institutions optimize their leader development efforts for students? How can professionals in organizations and communities better serve their employees and community members?
The series features volumes written by authors and edited volumes with multiple contributors. Each volume is designed to showcase a different topic, concept, or context critical to the research, practices, and outcomes of initiatives designed for leader and leadership development.
