The proceedings of Towards a Sustainable Construction Future address a diverse range of topics within civil engineering, construction and geomatics. The volume explores themes spanning emerging developments in AI and new technologies to the practical essentials of recycling and waste management, and from the ethical frameworks of construction economics and ethics to the exactness and accuracy of geomatics and surveying. It seeks to address traditional gaps between design, construction, management, and innovative geospatial technologies, highlighting the synergies required for genuine innovation in the sector.

The book presents the latest research contributions from international researchers, academics, engineers, policymakers, and experts on topics focused on advancing sustainable construction and building a future that is not only modern and resilient, but also fundamentally sustainable for generations to come. The proceedings are organised into seven thematic chapters. Experts in each field were invited to provide an introductory overview of each chapter setting the context for the papers and outlining key themes before exploring specific areas in greater detail.

The chapters cover: AI and Emerging Technology (AET), Recycling and Waste Management (RWM), Repair, Rework and Rebuilding (RRR), Construction Economics and Ethics (CEE), Energy, Water and Resources (EWR), Advances in Sustainable Performance (ASP), and Geomatics and Surveying (GMS).

Together, the chapters provide a valuable and up-to-date source of information for students, researchers, engineers, and decision makers engaged in discussions on sustainable construction and its future development. They also offer valuable recommendations and insights on improving the
