Research and Theory in Educational Administration is dedicated to improving research and theory in Educational Administration. To accomplish this mission, we solicit epistemologically diverse scholarly works that (a) present research on organizational and policy issues relevant to Educational Administration; (b) advance theory relevant to Educational Administration as it relates to the preparation, professional development, and practice of educational leaders; and/or (c) engage philosophical questions around inquiry and knowledge utilization in Educational Administration.
The series originated in 2002 under the editorship of Cecil Miskel and Wayne Hoy. In 2007, Michael DiPaola joined the editorial team followed by Patrick Forsyth in 2012. Since taking over the editorship of the series in 2019, Arnold B. Danzig and William R. Black continue to develop a strong pipeline of content with a focus on educational leadership, innovation, and professional development.
