Despite the recognized significance of projectification, the empirical quantification of its extent remains limited and methodologically diverse. By employing a systematic literature review (SLR) procedure, the study identifies the existing studies that focus on the quantitative measurement of projectification. This method-based review examines existing methods to measure projectification, critically analyses methodological approaches, and assesses their overall quality using the AXIS tool. The analysis reveals considerable variance in reporting, stratification criteria, sampling procedures, sample size and a gap in the handling of non-responses, highlighting the need for standardized measurement frameworks to enhance comparability, reliability, validity, and replicability. Moreover, the detailed analysis of Total Survey Error components with confidence intervals and sample representativeness reexamination indicated that projectification saturation might be more prevalent than previously claimed. We provide a new definition of projectification and propose a framework to improve the methodology of projectification measurement studies, including standardized reporting guidelines that aim to encourage similar measurements in other countries. More importantly, the book provides key takeaways for the business community by answering the fundamental questions: what to measure, how to collect the data and how to report those.
