Corporate Sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Challenges and Opportunities

There is paucity of research in terms of application of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the corporate level and currently it is unclear how businesses can operationalize and achieve the SDGs through corporate sustainability. The argument is if we do not achieve the SDGs by 2030 (in 7 years) we would have wasted a great opportunity for a sustainable world. The book series Corporate Sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Challenges and Opportunities" aims to examine the broad agenda of the SDGs which requires the participation of multiple disciplines and sectors to be delivered.

The book series will fill the gap in the existing material in the subject area with a global readership. The main themes and objectives are to bring new perspectives into CSR and sustainability including leadership as well as integrating these themes into an overarching discussion about the role of corporations [and other stakeholders] in the contemporary business environment and most importantly in addressing societal grand challenges. The book series will collectively focus on CSR Sustainability and the SDGs. Further some volumes will adopt a descriptive approach using qualitative methods and case studies. Other volumes will adopt a conceptual approach while some volumes will adopt quantitative technique to undertake exploratory studies.
